Lip Sunscreen reaction

I had a reaction to lip sunscreen and they swelled up. now days later the swelling is gone but they are still broken and chapped and bleeding and hurt.

been using Blistex and Hydrocortisone cream, nothing helps.

what will heal my chapped sore lips??

Try HL30 it comes in a tube .and you just put it on, like lipstick. You get it at the drugstore and no RX required

For me I would use Neosporin. I find it takes the burn, sting out of owies. But I dont think you would want to lick your lips or use it while you are eating. I would put it on at night. Another good healing ointment or cream is Desytin (spelling?). The diaper rash stuff. It coats and heals, then again dont lick your lips.

Try plain old vaseline or Aquaphor as a emollient and protectant. Blistex and hydrocortisone are too harsh. @nougat

I tried the triple antibiotic oitment last night and I did wake up with less cracks and soreness! should have been doing that all along!!

still not all healed but better. gonna try all the suggestions.

yes the Blistex & Hydrocortison cream were too harsh!! Dah! I should have known!

This happens to my lips with chemical sunscreen too- finding items with only zinc and titanium dioxide is challenging!

I use straight vitamin E for my lips if they are irritated like that. I would not put cortizone cream on my lips, because it's going to get ingested.
