      <description>&lt;P&gt;I did read some of the Plant Based News thread but it seemed to be vegan. I was vegetarian about 15 years ago but gained weight. I don't want to do that again so I'm trying to decide how to go forward with this.I know there are some supplements that are needed when you are vegetarian also. Any encouragement to go forward with this would be much appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My daughter is a vegetarian for over 10 years now.&amp;nbsp; I often cook for her when I visit.&amp;nbsp; I am slowly moving that way.&amp;nbsp; Eat 95% vegetarian but when trapped eating out, I go for chicken.&amp;nbsp; I am lucky to live on the Space Coast in Florida and buy fish/seafood directly from the boat.&amp;nbsp; I could never be vegan but like I said for everyday life, I do vegetarian.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

(Also, you can be unhealthy if you are including oil and processed foods, as well as dairy.) &amp;nbsp;Food is my medicine and is an integral part of my lifestyle. &amp;nbsp;No, I don't need any additional supplements as my diet gives me more than I need. &amp;nbsp;I do take a B12 because, after researching, I found that it is best for &lt;EM&gt;all&lt;/EM&gt; of us to supplement with this vitamin. &amp;nbsp; If you google, you can find overwhelming amounts of information. Eat fresh whole foods...unprocessed and it makes me &amp;nbsp;happy, healthy, and weight &amp;nbsp;issues get resolved. &amp;nbsp; I love living this lifestyle, so many benefits. &amp;nbsp;Wishing you the best of health!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I was vegetarian for over 20 years before going whole food plant based 3 years ago.&amp;nbsp; I struggled with my weight as a vegetarian because I ate so much cheese, ice cream, and other fat-filled foods.&amp;nbsp; Being plant based has ended my weight struggle.&amp;nbsp; I'm at my ideal weight now, and if anything have to watch out that I don't lose too much weight; a problem I never thought I'd have!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would say, as a start, if you want to lose weight on a vegetarian diet to really restrict dairy products.&amp;nbsp; They were really addictive for me, primarily cheese in my case. The only supplement I take is B-12.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Good luck to you!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
