NO! I really liked it when I first got it. I had been using a pedometer that was recommended by my doctor, but had to be kept in a pocket or clipped onto pants. There were times that what I was wearing made that difficult to do. Enter my fitbit. It seemed that I was getting in many fewer steps during the day than before. I realized that I had to be moving my arms in order for it to record steps. If I was holding onto a grocery cart, or the handles of my treadmill, VERY FEW, if any, steps were recorded. I wore both for several days, and the difference between the number of steps was over 1,000...sometimes more. Maybe if they made one for the ankle...

Love my Fitbit.. I have a Charge 2 and Alta HR. The universality in what it reports and the interactiveness is fun and keeps me on track.

My only other consideration would be the Apple series 3 watch but the investment is much larger and still read that the Fitbit leads in app features.

I wore my fit bit all the time until I realized that the thing tracks the movement of your arm-------and not really, your leg strides! I can lay on the couch and move my arm all around and add a few hundred "steps" by not really moving my whole body!. I did put it around my ankle for a day and thats when I got a more accurate count of movement. I do like how it keeps track of my sleeping/heart rates. However---if I coud return it, I would. also I bought bands from E bay to fit my small wrist size.

I like my Garmin. Husband wears his daily so he can sync results to his insurance company for a discount. I wear mine for 'fun.' Now that I have a good understanding on activities = results, I can determine steps - close enough. Either that, or I've gotten lazy and don't wear it every day. Let's go with the other idea.

I have some friends that are obsessed with their fitbits. All they do is talk about how many steps they got in that day, blah, blah,blah....... Me on the other hand, I just work out everyday and I'm done with it. I don't like the idea of wearing that thing as at times it takes away from my jewelry. LOL I also don't like the idea of wearing anything electronic on my body. I wonder if at some point they will become more of a health hazard (such as holding a cell phone to your head) than a health promoter? JMHO

For those of you who love it I mean no offense.
