This is the one product of Andrews that left me so disappointed. I have almost two full large containers of it (one unopened) that I can't use. I wish I had read the ingredients before ordering it. One of the sweeteners is fructose, which is a big HUGE no-no for me as a diabetic. Not only does it shoot my blood sugar through the roof (even as a very low calorie meal replacement), but it also leaves me starving an hour later when my sugar comes crashing back down and I go hypo. :-(

I really wanted to like this product, and I know it works well for a lot of people. I think it might be best for many who add it to smoothies with other stuff to bulk up their meal for satiety? I don't know. But to drink it alone as a complete meal replacement, at least for me it definitely does not work for that. I've been trying to give mine away for months, lol.

Andrew Lessman's SECURE Meal Replacement?

Does anyone use and know if it's okay to actually only have 1 or 2 servings of this as a whole meal? Being so low in calories, even 2 servings is only around 140 calories, is it healthy because of the protein, and vitamins and minerals? Because eating so little calories as a whole meal would not keep me going normally, so I'm just making sure before I start using it. I know you can add other ingredients and make smoothies etc also, but is it okay to only have 1 or 2 scoops in water and call it a meal?

I will tell you I like the low calories and here's why, you can eat more calories in your meals. If you add fruit, almond milk, coconut water, peanut butter, etc., those add additional calories and add up fast. If I feel like I'm going to have big lunch and or dinner I drink it with just ice and coconut water. I love to add cinnamon, fresh nutmeg, almond milk, ice. Some days I add a banana and some peanut butter. Some days I add orange juice and almond milk. I use the vanilla as my base. I hope that helps.

Thank you for the suggestions, but I want to know if it can be used alone as a whole meal in it's low calorie form, or is it meant to mix with other things to accumulate a certain amount of calories that will keep us satisfied? It seems like it was advertised to be able to use alone as a whole meal, AND you can also add more to it to make healthy smoothies etc. BUT can it really be used alone as a whole meal? Sorry to keep repeating the same question, I'm just trying to get across the question I'm asking! )

Probably something to run by your doctor. If you used it with just water for 2 meals, I think you'd have to have a very complex dinner to meet the additional nutrients missing from the other 2 meals. Have to add that it is not filling at all using just water - for me, about as filling as a glass of water. Also tastes much better mixed with milk of some sort.

I would probably mix with milk at least. My thought was to use 2 scoops with milk or water if I had it for breakfast, and maybe have a cheese stick and some veggies or something else if I had it for lunch or whatever works for me that day. I will try it with different fillings for a smoothie too, but just wondered how it's meant to be used being a meal replacement.

I guess I'm comparing it to slim fast or something like that which is mean to use on it's own, but I always added a cheese stick or something otherwise I would starve.

It is very similar to Slim Fast in satiety. In other words, yep, you will be starving if you don't add a nibble like you are planning to do. Even if you add milk and a double scoop.

Thank you! They didn't really explain it that well during the presentation, they only kept saying how low calorie it was and what you can mix it with, but not how it should be used as an actual meal replacement. At least I never caught the explanation.

The secure provides the vitamins and protein that you would get from a meal for fewer calories. I will say a meal is subjective. I was never a big breakfast eater and would be starving by lunch. Which lead to a big lunch and a sluggish afternoon. Now I have a secure with almond milk and a little fruit for breakfast. I will then have a small lunch and an afternoon snack. All totaled much fewer calories, better food choices and feel much better.
