I don't have it. I have heard of people putting a bar of ivory soap under their bottom sheet down at the bottom of the bed. It's worth a try.

You could also try magnesium at bed time. Check your iron levels. You can research both.

Hope you find something that works for you.

If you do not want to try medicine yet, I found that getting up and walking in my house helps some , but moreso running a very warm bath and staying in it for 15 minutes or so helped me. I do not know if you are working, pain that keeps you awake at night can disrupt your whole life.

This was about 10 years ago. As other people have mentioned, magnesium can help or meds. I found sitting and messaging my feet helped a lot. I would bend my foot all the way forward then all the way back, then massage my foot, somewhat with a heavy hand. I did this for about 5 minutes. I don't know why but it really helped. Most of the time it would go away. Go figure. I hope you find something to help you. Have a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Quinine (in the past) really did help those w/leg cramps. It may not be effective for RLS.

However quinine has been moved to rx status. You would have to drink (at least) a full liter per day to get enough to have any effect. This is according to my druggist.
