topic Is a Pilates chair right for me? in Wellness

I'm 50 and I really to work on gaining and building muscle strength. The problem is, my knees are shot-I need a total replacement in one and a partial in the other but I'm in no rush to do it.

The Total Gym looks like it's a great idea on a number of fronts except for one problem: how easy would it be for me to get on it when it is "flat"? My guess is that it might be pretty difficult.

I'm looking at Pilates chairs. Right now, Malibu Pilates-the one Susan Lucci is hawking-is tops only because of the marketing by Guthy Rinker and it's price point compared to higher end chairs such as Braciare or Stott. My question is, I can see that there's no question I can do core and leg work, but what about arms and back?

Any feedback would be welcomed....

         Poodlepet
