I was originally diagnosed 33 years ago with primary open angle. I have used various eye drops over the years. I currently take one drop of Brimonidine in the morning with 250 mg of Diamox. At night I take one drop of Brimonidine, one drop of Latanaprost and another 250 mg of Diamox.

I have to see my ophthalmologist every 4 months, but we have been able to maintain the pressure in each eye to about 11 so he is pretty happy. I hate my annual visual field test the most.

When my husband died I went about 5 years without my meds which as you all know can be expensive. During my period of neglect my left optic nerve became somewhat damaged and I have lost some of the vision in my left eye. Now I know better.
