      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;My &amp;nbsp;plant-based diet that I followed for years, did the reverse. I gained about 40 pounds. I only lost it when I dropped as many carbs as I could. &amp;nbsp;My lunch used to be a big plain sweet potato. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&amp;nbsp;I was hungry all the time, so I cheated often with sugar and processed foods. I started adding protein back to my diet, eggs for breakfast, chicken to my salads, and slowly started dropping the high carb food. My hunger disappeared and so did the weight. I don't get hungry now, I don't have crazy cravings, and I feel much better.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Count me in, too! &amp;nbsp;I have been eating only vegetarian items, with very minimal butter and parmesan cheese (for occasional flavor accent purposes only). &amp;nbsp;Fruit for breakfast, raw vegetable salad for lunch without salad dressing of any kind other than squeezed lemon and pepper. Steamed veggies with beans or tofu and rice, quinoa, or kasha for dinner. &amp;nbsp;Everything organic. &amp;nbsp;Coffee without sugar (but with almond milk) at breakfast, and tea, water or sparkling, flavored water (zero calories) for all other meals. &amp;nbsp;I am definitely losing weight and feeling more energetic. &amp;nbsp;My silver jewelry is no longer making black marks on my neck or clothing, so I know I am losing acidity, which is a very good thing. &amp;nbsp;I am also sleeping better. &amp;nbsp;I do take vitamin B12 supplements as I am no longer getting that vitamin from any meat source. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I very rarely eat red meat, or chicken for that matter.&amp;nbsp; Red meat just tastes weird to me.&amp;nbsp; Occasionally, like once every 3 months, I do go have a hamburger because I'm craving the protein.&amp;nbsp; Watch your D3 levels.&amp;nbsp; My boss's daughter was a vegan and her dr said she had the worst vitamin D3 level he had ever seen.&amp;nbsp; Congrats on your weight loss.&amp;nbsp; I've watched Wendy Williams transform her body also going plant based.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Congrats on your weight loss, but more so, the feeling better. I think everone's body is different and while some do well on plant only diets, others don't. I have to eat meat/eggs or I feel terrible, starving all the time and, like another poster said, start eating things I shouldn't.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I cut out dairy and instantly felt better, but am always looking for new ways to eat veggies, as I love them. Would be a good thread&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; I can't say I'm all that interested in a plant based diet but I've lost 55lbs and my wellness program that&amp;nbsp; was indeed a diet that focused on fruits, veggies, whole grains with small amounts of poultry or lean beef.&amp;nbsp; I did have a lot of inflammation and cutting out the processed food and the sodium relieved my inflammation.&amp;nbsp; My program provided our meals but I'm on maintenance now and gradually cutting back on the program meals.&amp;nbsp; I'll never totally cut them out.&amp;nbsp; I like the freedom of not having to think about what to make for dinner or lunch when I'm tired or not feeling well or just having a lazy day.&amp;nbsp; I don't eat any breads anymore, not even whole grain breads.&amp;nbsp; My diet is veggies, fruits, protein shakes and small amounts of lean proteins but not beef.&amp;nbsp; Yes, I lost 55lbs but all the more important health numbers like my blood sugar and blood pressure and cholesterol and triglicerides also came way down.&amp;nbsp; I'm definitely healthier and happier.&amp;nbsp; I have broken the sugar habit and I am now at point at which, the way I eat is normal for me.&amp;nbsp; It's funny, I sometimes think about having something but it seems like just thinking about and planning to eat it is enough to satisfy the craving. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
