topic Has anyone experienced bleeding after menopause? in Wellness

After two years of no bleeding, I started bleeding again about 4 weeks ago. I made an appointment and went right to my doctor. He said that he wanted to do bloodwork to make sure I had really finished. He called a few days later and said that I should not be bleeding because I was indeed finished. He said that his nurse would set up an appointment for a ultrasound and a uterine biopsy. Well, I have been bleeding off and on for these 4 weeks, and I have another 1 1/2 to go before the tests. In the meantime, I am in pain periodically and am also bleeding periodically. Sometimes I go a couple of days free of pain and free of spotting. Then, I will have a few days of cramps and spotting. I have read everything on webmd and am scared to death.

When someone posts a health question on these boards, many respond that they must run not walk to their doctor. I tried to do that, but I feel that 5 weeks is a bit long to suffer and wait for a test. I tried to call to get put on a waiting list but was told that they are booked. It seems that doctor's offices these days are in no rush to help those with a problem. I am hoping that some of you have had a similar experience and can put my mind at ease. I can't sleep. All I do is worry and hurt. My biggest worry is that I have uterine cancer and in five weeks it has gotten worse.

Thanks for listening.
