Not sure which, as it has changed over the years.&lt;/FONT&gt; She has told me about problems now and then, but what she eats, to her seems to be the best to keep it somewhat under control.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/35094"&gt;@hckynut&lt;/a&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#FF6600"&gt;My DH was just diagnosed with colitis and prescribed a med called Lialda (generic Mesalamine).&amp;nbsp; I wonder if your friend takes the same med?&amp;nbsp; It's too soon to tell if this med will help him.&amp;nbsp; But we're hoping ...&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;What you have may not be colitis, possibly could be irritable bowel or lactose intolerance among other things.&amp;nbsp; You need to get to a &lt;SPAN class="mce-spellchecker-word"&gt;Gastrointerologist&lt;/SPAN&gt; ASAP.&amp;nbsp; There certainly is &lt;SPAN class="mce-spellchecker-word"&gt;meds&lt;/SPAN&gt; for bowel problems.&amp;nbsp; I have irritable bowel with diarrhea and lactose intolerance and there are meds to help me.&amp;nbsp; See a Gastrointerologist soon.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/249271"&gt;@elizabethl123&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Because I've been there, done that, will provide a little advice.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Sounds as though you may be self-diagnosing or guessing.&amp;nbsp; Never a good thing to do. &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Please see a Gastroenterologist who MAY order a colonoscopy in order to do a biopsy to determine which type, if any, of colitis you may have: colitis, ulcerative colitis or microscopic colitis.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;My gut was insulted by a Chicken Caesar Wrap from a famous chain store that lots of folks on here love, but the one I purchased on just one occasion was either contaminated or the date was mis-marked or the chicken had gone bad, but didn't taste like it.&amp;nbsp; Anyway, 6 hours later, D arrived and did not go away.&amp;nbsp; Won't go into those details, but finally ended up getting biopsied and was told I had microscopic colitis caused by that blankety-blank Chicken Caesar Wrap.&amp;nbsp; Was placed on Prednisone for 2 months (60mg/day), which I really needed, then Sulfasalazine for 13 months.&amp;nbsp; It was a long haul and it took my gut a substantial amount of tme to heal, but after 2 years, my doc was so pleased for me and I was, too.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;I would never have known the cause of the ever-continuing D without doing the clinical investigative work that really needs to happen.&amp;nbsp; When your gut is ill, so much more of you can be ill at the same time, including your immune system.&amp;nbsp; This is nothing to take lightly!!!&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;(On another note, at the time of that first colonoscopy to get that biopsy, they found 3 polyps, all benign.&amp;nbsp; However, 2 years later at my next colonscopy, they found 4 polyps, all of which were pre-cancerous, so I continue on an every 2 years protocol.&amp;nbsp; Just had my colonoscopy last week and they found 5 freaking polyps, one of which was 8 mm in diameter - huge!&amp;nbsp; I'll find out this week about these 5.&amp;nbsp; Always hoping they won't have to go in and do a resection.&amp;nbsp; My poor gut has already been insulted by the colitis and 2 bouts of chronic D due to post-op Ancef and Vanco.&amp;nbsp; Poor large intestines...)&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

My dauighter has Crohn's and her original Dr wasn't helping her....she was in and out of Emergency.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;She now has a Dr who has helped her so much. Find one that Specializes in Crohns and Colitis. There is a special steriod for those that suffer with this Endocort and it doesn't make you swell up like a balloon.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;DH had a colonoscopy in mid-October and was diagnosed with Colitis.&amp;nbsp; His GI doctor prescribed Lialda (generic Mesalamine) which he will take for four weeks and then call Dr. P. with a progress report on how he responds to the meds.&amp;nbsp; So far, he's only taken it for less than a week.&amp;nbsp; We're hoping it works.&amp;nbsp; DH is also keeping a daily journal re. how he responds to foods.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/249271"&gt;@elizabethl123&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I agree with others who have recommended you make an appointmennt with a GI specialist asap.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
