Eventually, he started running, and has since lost 230 pounds.&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;"Compared to where I was, I'm an Olympian," LaJaunie told ABC News.&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;The private group, which now has more than 80 members who have lost over 4,000 pounds collectively, gives men a platform to share their weight loss journeys and cheer each other on.&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;"I didn’t realize it was going to be so big in the beginning but I really had aspirations that we would be able to reach out," Lajaunie said today on "Good Morning America." "I had been inspired throughout my journey and I felt it important to pay it forward to the universe and to do that for other guys."&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;He added, "To see what has come of it is just amazing."&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;"Whenever I don’t feel like getting up in the morning or running, I see somebody else post they ran four miles, I’ve to go run six," Cohen said. "If they’ve run six, I’ve got to run eight."&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;"It keeps me motivated to get up every day, lace up my shoes and just get out there."&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;The 'Missing Chins Run Club' founder's top-3 weight loss tips:&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;1. &lt;U&gt;Understand the concept of "calorie density" in food &lt;/U&gt;&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;"If you're looking to lose weight and you're trying to get started, it would really serve you well to understand ... the subject of 'calorie density,'" LaJaunie told ABC News of his top tip for weight loss.&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;LaJaunie described calorie density as understanding that the same volume of two different types of food can have a vastly different number of calories. He cited the example of eating a bowl full of green leafy vegetables versus filling the same sized bowl with fried chicken, saying the latter may contain "about three or four times the amount of calories, in that same volume of food."&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;"Understand how to still eat big meals, and enjoy yourself and be full, but at the same time you won't be overconsuming, and your body won’t need to store excess calories or body fat," LaJaunie said.&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;2. &lt;U&gt;Start moving, any way you know how &lt;/U&gt;&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;LaJaunie's second tip is to just go outside and get moving, even if it is just walking at first.&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;"There is no need to join a gym," LaJaunie said. "You can just go outside, and lace up, and move yourself with your legs. McDougall, Greger, Esselstyn, Barnard, etc., etc., etc.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am a newbie to this way of eating, only a little over 3 months.&amp;nbsp; And I have mentioned here that I have not been perfect with it.&amp;nbsp; It's a journey.&amp;nbsp; But the more benefits I feel and SEE, the more I want to be closer to perfect! Sounded good to me as I love the non altered PB and get a 3+ pound tub ground regularly at a local health food store.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;That along with my banana and joe make for a good morning prep, especially works well before the days I go ice skating. Will be going today in a couple hours this afternoon.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Any group that promotes eating healthier and moving whatever limbs and joints a person is able sounds great to me. I personally prefer being a loner when it comes to my workouts, just myself and my thoughts and goals.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Always been one that prefers not having to depend on others to be present for me to exercise. That is the way I ice skate, to the music beat of course.
