It is nice to be able to relax, and read the forums once more

I can't believe all of the running around I have been doing.

My husband saw 2 specialist this week, His surgeon and the spinal Dr

The surgeon wants him to get a colonoscopy in Dec, to make sure everything in his intestines is OK.( because the appendix is located at the end of the tract) He just had one last year, and if anything is amiss it's a recent development.

His spinal dr looked at his freshly taken xrays ,and said everything is healing well, and the alignment is perfect. He gets another cat scan in Dec, and the Dr will tell him the results then.

It's good to have a few days off of running around from hospital, to Dr ,to pharmacy. He had his antibiotics changed twice, by the ER Dr ,that cared for him ,in the hospital. He said the infectious disease specialist ,felt the needed different meds to kill off the infection. Everyone has been wonderful to us. Great care has been given by everyone ,who has treated my husband

WE have an appointment with the cardio Dr, Nov 2. We haven't heard a peep from the heart clinic, and they said if his stress test came back problematic they would call us. The surgeon told us it is a good sign they haven't called. Our PCP told us she saw the pictures and everything looked normal to her, even though she isn't a cardiologist

It will be another 4 weeks before my husband will be able to remove his neck brace, if the Dr gives him the green light

My stomach is doing a bit better despite all of the stress we have been under. So all in all we are very pleased and thankful

To all of you for your good wishes and prayers, thank you. You are the best.

@cherry

Glad to hear things are getting better. I however would/will never assume that because I do not get a call from one of my doctors, after a test/procedure, that it means everything went well. Things can and do get lost between those that administered the Stress Test/Doctor and the Office Staff.

My many Stress Rests do not come back as pictures, they have always been graphs and numbers, and I have copies of every one of the Stress Tests I have taken, be they for the rehabilitation nature, or Maximal Stress Test so I will know and be able to see my fitness levels such as Max Vo2/Oxygen Uptake results.

Had just that happen with my Hemotologist after a blood draw to check my Iron Ferritin levels. No call to me did not mean "all is well"! I called them when they did not call, and sure enough, my levels were low, and I needed an Iron Infusion. First time this has ever happened in my over 14 years working with these doctors and their staff, but communication within different offices, and within an office, is not always 100%.

Said here many times over, I don't take "normal/good range/" for any procedures. I demand numbers, generalities don't cut it with me, especially with my Cardio or removed Spinal issues. My friend the Spinal Surgeon does only an MRI on patients that have already had surgery, not xrays.

Went through several Antibiotic IV's when in the hospital for 6+ days with Cellulitis. Also was working with an Infectious Disease Specialist for several months to assure it did not resurface. Saw him several tomes during the next 18 months.

Hope all continues to get better for both of you.

hckynut

He doesn't have any symptoms of heart problems, so we will know soon what his Dr decides to do. He may have to get a heart cath if the Dr thinks he needs one.

He had quite a few scans, in and out of the hospital. The xrays were only to see if the bones were knitting ,and still aligned which they are. The next scan will give the Dr the full picture. My husband didn't have surgery, he had 3 fractures not breaks. He is still wearing a brace 24/7
