I am so sorry you have had so many problems with United Health Care, however, I have had very good care and no problems what so ever with this insurance, as did my dad and now my husband.

anyone thinking of getting this insurance or if you have it they do not care about you or your health. espically if you need to get rehab they will not pay for your full amount of time no matter how much progress you are making. So if you have a older parenet who has this be ready to fight for them until the end because it will be a long haul.

I have UHC and they've been pretty good so far. Responsive to my inquiries also- and I ask LOTS of questions! Especially with the 'tier level' of coverage my company started implementing last year. .

There are many UHC plans - my parents coverage was also with UHC and I didn't have to fight too much! My folks had lots of medical needs (my Dad passed from kidney failure and my Mom has dementia) too. I found more often a medical facility messed up the billing - rather than UHC not covering a service. But again, it's about the UHC plan you have--

yes i know they are not social service agency but when someone is not getting the amount of days they are entitled to and the insurance company thinks they are not progressing according to their way that when they cut them off. what is why many older people cannot go back to the way they were after an acccident. the insurance companys do not care about the person. until the goverment goes after the insurance company to change their rules we will never have good insurance in this country. I hope everyone out there never has to go through what my elderly father has been through in the last four months.

Like others have said it depends on what plan you pick. My husband fought melanoma for 3 years and just passed away in may. Everything was covered. And I mean everything. And they did lots to try to save his life.

Everything was "you owe $0. The F plan is the best. But it depends on what state you live in and the age of the person.

I am so sorry you are having this problem. I hope we have helped you in our advice. Be blessed.

So plan F from one company covers the same as Plan F from any other company. Benefits under an Advantage Plan can vary.

If your parent has a Supplement Plan tied to Original Medicare, I would first verify on the Medicare website what is covered under each plan and verify that the plan your parent has covers what you think it does. Then talk to the insurance company and/or the care provider (I assume you would need consent on file from your parent first) regarding anything that's unclear. If your parent has an Advantage Plan, then you would be checking the handbook for the policy your parent is enrolled in.
