Finger tips that close

They close down to the palm and take awhile to come back. The other day I was scared for ilt didn't pop back fast--sort of forced it. Ouch. Anyone know the cause?

I can't even sort if visualize what you're describing-- and I'm trying hard! Sounds very bazaar to me. Ha! Its apparently something I can't do.

Some suggestions of what might be causing this symptom: A new medication, low calcium (this does cause similar symptoms), ( R.) arthritis, stress/panic attack (hyperventilation can cause your hands to lock ) .

Could it be "trigger finger"? I've had that in three fingers, although not at the same time. Surgery is not all that bad. It is painful until you manually straighten your fingers out. Good luck. Hope you find relief.

I don't mean to scare you but that was one of my first symptoms of scleroderma. I truly hope that is not what is it. Are you having any pain in your joints or swelling feet/hands?

@halfpint1 For me, it's "trigger finger". Usually only happens in very cold weather, or during sudden weather changes. It is annoying, but I do NOT intend to have any kind of surgery. di

I had what they call "trigger finger" - middle finger would lock up. Tried many suggestions from friends, some suggesting surgery. I started rubbing pure emu oil on my hands and it really helped. My finger no longer locks up.

Depending on your age, my first thoughts are arthritis, trigger finger and carpal tunnel issues.

Bird mama I got cataract surgery last week so far okay. A few more weeks and new lens for glasses.

No but it doesn't sound good. It sounds like some sort movement or muscle problem. You should see a doctor, sooner rather than later.

I hope it is nothing serious. A friend has trigger finger so I suspect that could be the culprit.

L had forgotten They were called trigger finger, emu oil--gotten ask-is it at any drugstore?

I've never used Emu oil for anything, but I just checked google shopping to see if anyone locally sells some kind of Emu oil. I know you don't live by me, just seeing if any big chains carry it.

Forgive the size of this picture I got no idea why this thing is so huge.

Walmart, Walgreens, Bed Bath and Beyond (in my part of the country) carry this:

Maybe if you have any of these stores near you, you could give em a call and see if they carry that.

I don't think this BluEmu would work as well as the pure oil. I get mine from Amazon - nobody around my area sells pure emu oil.
