I can't comment on this line, but I have done Jenny Craig (now on maintenance) and I loved the food......a lot of JC food was frozen and there were a few shelf-stable items included. I must admit that the frozen foods were much better than the shelf-stable items.....NutriSystem is, from what gather, all shelf-stable. The Jenny shelf-stable items weren't awful, but I definitely liked the frozen items much better. Sorry I can't really answer your question, but I'm sure there are others who know much more......good luck with whatever journey you decide to take re: your wellness.

I don't have any personal experience with it, but I had a non-cooking single friend who ordered it because all she ate was frozen dinners, and she said it was disgusting.

Also, it has a lot of soy based products, if that's a concern.

My mother did it for a period and lost 30 pounds. She liked that everything was provided, but grew bored of the food and quit. My friend did it too and lost 100 pounds. Both didn't follow a maintenance plan and gained it back.

At qvc you don't get to pick your food. Buying directly from nutri system you can pick your food. I noticed in last Sunday's paper that Wal-Mart is now carrying a weekend's off kit. That's 5 days of their food, 2 days of yours. I've also seen it sold loose at big lots. The program works if you follow it.

Tried it after my pregnancy. Most of the food was awful but I think if you choose the more expensive option it seemed to have better choices and maybe tastes better. I think it had more refrigerated type items if I remember correctly.

I found the dinners inedible but the snacks, or breakfast foods were fairly decent.

My husband and I bought it several years ago. We wanted to lose about 15 lbs each. I found the food very limiting because I'm a very picky eater. We traded a lot of our items, but we BOTH found that we were still hungry. From what I remember, Nutrisystem requires you to make a lot of salads to supplement the meals. There's only so much salad we could eat...

If you are determined to stay on the plan and aren't a very picky eater, then this may work for you.

I have three friends that tried it and said the food was disgusting. I personally would never eat that horrible food wich contains tons of chemicals, preservatives and sugar alcohols. If I had to select a plan, I would go with weight watchers where you are not restricted and can eat healthy fresh foods or select some of their frozen breakfasts, lunches or dinners on days you don't feel like cooking. You are also more inclined to keep the weight off on WW because you learn how to eat correctly plus you won't get bored.

I like most of the food OK, but this new TSV seems to have a lot less variety than previous plans I've tried. What really concerns me about the presentations is that they always talk about how everything is provided for so little per day, without really saying much about all the additional fruits, vegetables, and dairy products you need to add -- That adds quite a bit to the total daily cost of food!

As soon as this program comes on I change the channel. Weight loss is about health not jeans size. She always holds up a pair of jeans that are about an 18 or 20 and is ridiculing to those of us trying to get Down to that size on our way to losing weight. If you want to lose weight use Weight Watchers. It works and doesn't make fun of anyone. It stresses health and well being not becoming a size 4 or 2 etc.
