We went fishing today in the heat and the sunscreen was not in the boat. DH got red, but would not give up fishing. We always drink tomato juice which contains antioxidant lycopene which helps prevent burns in the first place. I sponged his arms with cooled tea, because of anti-inflammotory properties.

I have read that vinegar and toothpaste and other products are first-aid fixes for summer remedies. As a child, we lived on a farm, but I can't remember what my parents used for what. I have poison ivy now and have gone to Urgent Care twice.

Do you have other summer woes and what are their unexpected antidotes.
