Well, I have accidentally found the keys to weight loss for me. I fractured my right wrist a week and a half ago. It was a bad fracture and required a plate, eight screws, and a pin. The pin will come out, but every thing else is permanent. The doctor told me I will not regain full mobility of my wrist. This really made me reassess the way I have been eating.

There's a lot of research that colas may be very bad for your bones, and I've been a coca cola addict all my life. I quit the colas. I've also hated dairy most of my life, and I've never been a big meat eater. So, I knew I had to start eating better. I started eating a lot of dairy, increased my protein (from various sources, not just meat), started eating prunes which are high in boron (and apparently helps bones greatly), started eating a lot more green leafy veggies, and only eat whole grains. Also, I've started taking calcium supplements, magnesium supplement, Vitamin D3, multivitamin, and folic acid. I thought that I must be gaining weight, because I've been eating a lot of ice cream too. When I weighed myself this morning, I lost 5 1/2 pounds since my fracture. Whoopee! Just thought I'd share.
