Sometimes I find that when I set something to save as bookmark, it actually saved in a folder within bookmarks. Click on bookmarks, then click on the folders listed at the top of the list. See if the site you saved in in any of those. If so, you can move it from the folder to bookmarks by drag drop, or click on bookmarks on the menu bar and click edit.

How/why do things suddenly disappear from the Bookmarks Bar. They were there this morning, but when I restarted the computer (iMac), they weren't there. Two sites just gone. Strange.

Hi, MaggieToo and Lynnj!

One thing that can happen: When there are too many bookmarks to display across the toolbar you'll see something like an arrow at the far right, and if you click on it you'll see the others. Bookmarks will act a bit differently depending upon which browser you're using -- which one are you having this problem with?
