Also saw a tablet at http://www.50dollartablet.com which might be suitable for my needs...too many choices!!

I would not buy a smaller older tablet with 16 GB of storage. The $50 tablet is a piece of junk. Amazon has a special deal on their site for some customers on the HDX tablets. QVC has E-pay on the HDX 7"" tabs. Best Buy and Staples may have sales on HDX 7"" tabs.

What do you think of Hsn deal on Kindle? Since I only have a desk top computer have been wanting to get some other Electronic gadget... My dh does not know how to use the Pc and loves to read...

I agree with nutmeg3. I wouldn't and don't recommend anyone to buy old technology.

You need to go to Amazon's site, and see the terms of the payment plan on HDX.

If you go to Amazon's website, they have a chart comparing all 4 of the Kindle Fires, both HD and HDX. I normally don't think buying electronics from shopping channels is a great idea because they don't really tell you that you are getting an older model and they justify their price by adding accessories that you may not need or can get cheaper. This deal seems pretty good however, but you should check and see if the newer version has features that you really want and if those features are worth a much higher price.
