I'm Not Able to Log On to Craigslist

I've been advertising on Craigslist for many years in the Rooms/Shares secton. Today, I wasn't able to log on. When you email them about a problem, an automated answer that doesn't make sense to me appears. First it said that my password doesn't work. I clicked on "forgot my password". Now it says that I can't log on because my account is on HOLD. Whenever I email their support group, I just get another automated email that says nothing. Has this happened to you - and if so, how do I log on. Thx

kivah, I don't use Craigslist, but I checked the BBB.org website, and they show an 800 number and "View Additional Phone Numbers" offers a few more.

You also might check to see if they have an active Facebook page. Some companies are very responsive to questions on their social media accounts.

I just called their 800 # --- they don't answer questions regarding log-in problems over the phone -- it directs me to the same standard information when I try to log on -- or try to change my password. NO HELP. That's why BBB gave them an F rating - although I luv their site.

I don't use craigslist, but have had an experience like this before on another site. When this happened to me I had made a few attempts to login. I guess maybe I had the wrong password, or something. After I few times I got the account on hold lockout message. Don't remember if it was by email or not? Did you try signing In Several times before getting this message? This is all I can think of. Maybe have to wait until Monday when some on their tech support is available to help you.

Lynnj: My password is saved - so I just clicked enter (rather than typing in the password). It didn't work - so I tried a few times typing it in - which seemed to make it worse. No one at Craigslist ever responds by email or phone ---- unless ur a paying business. I'll try again on Monday. Thx

I just googled craiglist on-hold complaints and found that once CL put u on-hold - they never release it. Many nice, innocent posters have been blocked for over-posting OR for reasons unknown to them. CL is of no help - as they just send automated messages - never explaining anything. Some people were complaining of being flagged, especially with their business postings --- so Craigslist handled it by blocking them!!!!!! Guess u have to know the CL rules - which have gotten very inflexible.
