Duckduckgo help uninstalling

I installed duckduckgo as my browser. I don't like it, but can't get rid of it. I deleted it froom my programs. I chose Chrome as my default browser. I also removed it from my startup bar. But when I open chrome, I still get duckduckgo as an opening page. I cant get rid of it. Can anyone help me?

Thanks all for your help. I got it back. When I clicked on search engines, the message said Duckduckgo was controlling it. So I moved the icon to the left, (no) restarted the computerand it is now back on to Chrome. I will never put Duckduckgo on again!

FWIW: DuckDuckGo is a search engine.

I tried that. It seems to be about removing Chrome from popping up on opening. I have the opposite problem. I tried to uninstall duckduckgo, but that's what I get when I start up my computer. I WANT chrome back.

Are you saying that when you open your Chrome browser your startup page is the DuckDuckGo page?

If so, then you need to change your startup page in Chrome.

Yes, exactly that. I tried making Chrome my default,yet a picture of the duck is what comes on when I click on the chrome icon.

@geegerbee. When Duckduckgo opens up, can you see the three tiny dots way up the righthand corner next to the search bar? If yes, click on those, then Settings, then Search Engine, then make sure Chrome is selected.

To remove the DuckDuckGo extension

Open Chrome and click the three dots in the top-right corner.
Hover over "More tools" and click "Extensions".
Find the DuckDuckGo extension in the list.
Click the "Remove" button next to it.
Confirm the removal if prompted.

To remove the DuckDuckGo browser

On Windows: Go to Settings > Apps, find the DuckDuckGo app, and click "Uninstall".
