Phone wireless chargers

OK - so I just took a huge step for me and finally bought my first phone which is a Samsung A16, always used a flip type phone. I needed it for when Drs. are trying to reach me and I wanted something to take photos and videos. Am just learning how to use the thing but I am slowly getting there. I have seen so many do-dads where you just place the phone on the object to recharge. You do not have to plug it in as the device has a full charge. Can anyone recommend what my options are?

Mophi is the brand of my charger. It was gift to me last Christmas by my son. It's flat, black and holds 2 phones. All you do is plug it in. I leave it downstairs so if people come by they can lay their phone of the charger if they need to. My regular charger is upstairs in the bedroom.

It really comes in handy.

@lovesallanimals Why can't your doctors reach you on a flip phone? Nobody has any problems reaching me on mine.

I can take photos & videos as well as transfer them to my computer w/my flip phone.

The Samsung phones that start with A don't have wireless charging. Only the ones that start with S like S16 or whatever do. Those phones are much pricier which is why I don't have one.

There is a way to add a wireless adapter but that means having something plugged into the phone anyway so might as well just charge with a USB-C cable and skip that.

True--that's why my husband switched to an S 23 last year. No wireless charging capability.

I have a very old flip type phone which always served its purpose. Lately I have had two doctors and a car service calling me and saying it did not go through. I called myself from my landline and there was no problem. When I was waiting to hear from the Dr. (my husband is in the hospital) I held it in my hand so there was no chance of me not hearing it ring. Also everytime I go to a store and they ask if I have the "app" I feel like an idiot as I felt so behind the times. Everything seems to be using an app now. I did not turn in my flip phone as I want to see how this goes.

@Tori3569 It's such a bummer but the odds are I'm going to drop my phone at some point and I'd rather ding up a cheaper one.

When I first started working Home Care with the elderly, I had to make phone calls for Patients because they were still usiing a rotary phone! You can't press one for this or two for that using a rotary phone. They couldn't get through to any company because everyone had switched to automatic answering. When people don't keep up with technology, they find "road blocks" which get worse over time. I can't stress enough to learn the basics, like how to navigate a menu, how to find the menu and other necessary tasks. It's not that difficult unless you have cognition or vision deficits. For those who do, find someone to help you when needed. All devices have menus and that is often the first place to look.
