I pad .Need suggestions.

I discovered this morning reseting the iPad to factory reset doesn't erase all information on the ipad.

I had the ESPN+ subscription and payment on on the ipad. I no longer have the ipad and can't remember how I logged in. I called ESPN this morning to change my account information and change to a different credit card. I was told needed to call Apple Customer Service for help. They insisted no other option to correct this. Apple CS stated that I needed to sign in to the ipad to update everything. I explained no iPad and can't remember information needed.

I signed in to my ESPN account to hopefully update my account information and change my method of payment. I couldn't find the payment information.

I am worried about my charge card information on the ipad.

Why is everything so complicated or is it just me?

If you don't have it and Apple CS can't help, why do you think it is still on the old IPad? Where is it?

Went thru this for my boss, we had to contact the cc company and have them change the credit card number.

@We rescue cats : I thought about contacting the bank to stop the payment and getting a different charge card number.

I now have the ESPN app on my Amazon fire tablet for DH to watch his football. He is so afraid of stopping the service and missing his football.

I would think that means that the ESPN company has your information for automatic renewal. Not uncommon.

That doesn't mean it is on the IPad. It means that ESPN has it!

Internet information is not on the IPad itself, unless you have download and saved it. The IPad just connects you to the internet.

@SouthernBee, do you have an iPhone or MacBook? Your passwords might have been saved to the cloud and is under the new Password app. You might go to icloud dot com and sign in with your Apple id. Possibly if you can call Apple support again to see if they can help you find your passwords. Of course, if you didn't save them to your Apple account, this won't help. If you know your user name, you can choose "forgot password" and they'll send you a link via email.

Go to ESPN+ and change your password. That is where you information is.

The IPad information and the Companies on the Internet information is not the same thing!

Each company on the internet has a different "store" just like a B&M Mall.

Doing a factory reset on the IPad only affects you have stored on the IPad. Doesn't go to the Internet!

@Kachina624 @tansy @We rescue cats @Zhills @Toot1920 : Thank you. I talked with DH. We decided to call the bank on Monday and stop payments. I will close or delete my ESPN account. DH will contact ESPN and start account in his name and with his charge card information. I appreciate your help.

@SouthernBee When you get on the IPad and go on the internet to a site...You can relate it to Getting in your car, driving to the Mall and going to all the individual stores.

Bealls cannot see what Macy's is doing! They are each individual places!

When you go to the Internet "Mall", it works the same way, exactly! Each site is one complete unit!

And, stop at the bank on your way home, going online works the same way. Macy's can see you stop there....not can one site see where you go next!

Hope this helps. Your IPad is your "transportation" to where you want to do business or just browse! Enjoy your IPad....I couldn't live without one!

If the iPad was reset and cleared for passing it on, your Apple account was NOT deleted from APPLE. It still exists out in APPLE. I have done this for the grands.

The fact that you are still being charged by Apple for monthly subscription proves it. Seems they still have your credit card information on your account.

So either cancel that specific card or log into APPLE from a different device and remove the card.

I have 2 Fire 10s. Use them all the time. They all work the same, really. Like driving to the Mall in a different automobile! Same Mall!

Recently discovered Jigsaw puzzles for mine. Love them!

Do you have an Iphone? If so, go into settings and the first line up top is your name. Click on that and scroll down to subscriptions. Hit that and youll see all yours that are active and all that are inactive. Hope this helps.

@Zhills : We have two of the fire 10's.One for DH with all his sports items.Last year , one time DH was using the two tablets and tv to watch all his games.

@SouthernBee in case you didn't know but you can trade in your iPad at Apple or Best Buy. I know at Best Buy you will get a gift card that you can use for anything in the store. Same with Apple, you get a gift card. There might be other places that you can trade in Apple products. You can find out what they're worth at their website, look for trade in, and answer the questions about your device. You can find your iPad model on the back of your iPad (since you've already did a factory reset). The printing is really small, so I would take a picture and then you can enlarge to see it.
