Problem with samsung A10 E with Tracfone

Hi Y'all: The last couple of days trying to call friends : The phone rings and then a message: transferring call to Smartalk Customer Service. The people that I am calling don't use smartalk. I haven't called Tracfone. Just wondering if any one else dealing with this. Thank you for any help or information.

If you do not want to call Tracfone, then see if your issue was posted on their message board and/or post your issue.

Do a search engine research & check out YouTube tutorials of your issue.

If no luck, you have no alternative but to call Tracfone.

That is so odd! If you haven't done so already, turn your phone completely off and then back on. Don't restart...completely off and then back on. This will usually fix a multitude of problems. My husband's Tracfone showed no service last week, which wasn't right. I turned it off and back on, and voila...everything was like it should be.

There was a big problem with AT&T across the country this past week with a lot of cell phone users losing their service.

So, if Tracfone is using their service in your area, that could be the reason. (Tracfone uses other providers - AT&T, Verizon, etc.)

It was on the news for at least a couple of nights.

@Mz iMac @Venezia @Ainhisg : Ok. I Googled : Why my tracfone calles transferred to smartalk customer service? Some info didn't help but told to text message to tracfone 611611 APN. Instructions to do several steps in settings that didn't work . Then sent another text for help. They asked several questions that I replied. They stated they checked my area of service , checked my phone and the issue resolved. Nope tried to call my friend and had the same customer service message.

I have several other things to do this weekend but will call Tracefone on Monday.

Do the friends you are unable to call have the same carrier? If so, then the problem is w/their carrier and/or Tracfone & their carrier.

@Mz iMac : I just checked my account: O MB data, O minutes, 917 text. My service date 10/09/24. On 10/09/23 purchased the year package for $69.99 .This was the $49.99 add on deal. I don't understand this but I don't use all my minutes.I will be calling tracfone tomorrow.

@SouthernBee - have you tried shutting your phone completely off and restarting? If you're certain you haven't used all your minutes and data, it might reset it.

That is just plain weird. Do you know what your balance was just before this happened? I check mine regularly so I make sure I don't run out of texts (as that's what I use most).

When you last added your service, did you add more minutes, too?

Maybe try adding the smallest amount to see if it adds it onto your previous balance. Or just wait it out and see if Tracfone CS can help.

I have no idea why you'd have gotten that Smartalk message. Never heard of them before.

Let us know what happens!

So you could text your friends and family 917 times, but can't call anyone.

I've just started my fourth year with Tracfone and no issues. I have just over 8,000 texts accrued. As you can tell, I'm not a big one for texting. LOL

Just sign on to your account every now and then and check your account and what you have in calls, texts and data. I hate surprises.

@Tinkrbl44 :I have tracfone and I am not I interested in Smartalk. I had a friends name on my cell phone. I called her, after one ring : heard connecting call to Smartalk customer service, I hung up. Called my friend on my house phone and told her what happened and she uses AT&T.

I checked my balance last month and had enough for the remainder of my service year.

This is strange and never had problem like this.

It's pretty inexpensive to go into your account and just buy some minutes to see if that does resolve the issue. My guess is it will.
