    <title>topic Dell Rant in Electronics</title>
    <link>https://community.qvc.com/t5/Electronics/Dell-Rant/m-p/42957#M725</link>
<description>I purchased a Dell desktop from Qvc in late 2007. Just before the three year warranty was to expire the hard drive crashed. I spent countless hours on the phone and had some strange techs show up trying to fix it. Finally Dell sends me the replacement pc and I buy another three year warranty for $272. Well here I am less than six months later with my "refurbished" replacement that came installed with microsoft works instead of ms office which my original pc had dead as a doornail. When I call Dell they tell me they have no record of my purchasing the warranty and to talk to me further they need to charge me $69 to diagnose my problem than the additional $$ necessary to fix it. It took me three days and endless calls to find a person who could actually find the warranty purchase record. Now I have to wait 24-48 business hours for it to be activated. They are by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Had I known they would send me this piece of junk repaired old machine I would have tossed the original one and purchased another make/model. When QVC sells this garbage and talks about Dell's-award winning c.s. I just laugh. I even called my cc company to see if I could dispute or reverse the warranty purchase but it was over 90 days. Ok rant over, thanks for letting me vent. Betty</description>
