just4me, Though it would help to know a bit more of the details, such as what happens when you try to use it, and whether your mail works if you access it through Safari on the iPad, one thing that can help is to go into the iPad settings and re-enter your email password (or delete the mail account and then add it back).

By now, I hope it's working for you. If not, check back and someone here will lend a helping hand.

Chances are, if you use the mail icon, it's trying to send using your cable company's server. That won't work on a different network. Go to your cable company's website and use the web based e-mail while traveling.

If that was the case then email on cellular phones wouldn't work. My guess? USER ERROR. SMTP and POP work regardless of what network you are on.
