Bluetooth problems

My magic mouse needed charging which I did over night. Now, I can't get my Macbook to recognize it. My iMac does so, I know the mouse is working properly. My Macbook recognizes other bluetooth devices and is able to pair or connect so, the bluetooth is working. But for some reason, which I can't figure out, is why my Macbook won't pair or connect with the mouse? Please don't tell me I can use the touchpad. I hate them and have never used one on any laptop I've owned. I tried looking for an answer and found nothing which describes my problem. Anyone have ideas?

I know nothing about MACs and it has been ages since I have used a mouse, but there's always that "unplug and plug back in" option that sometimes causes a restart and fix.

I would try rebooting the MacBook.

I'm gonna have to check out the Magic Mouse...I'm not familiar with that one. Last Christmas I bought my MacBook from QVC. It came with a standard mouse & dongle, but I've never been able to get it to successfully connect. I'm gonna have to take it to the Apple Store next time I have my drs appointment because my town doesn't have one.

I finally got it to connect. I removed it from the list of Bluetooth devices, restarted the computer and it showed up. I selected connect and it did. I have no idea why I had to do this step but, I'm glad it worked.

My MacBook Pro does not recognize my Kobo Ereader. It used to. I am now reading on my iPad but would prefer the Ereader. I haven't found an answer to that one.

What is a Kobo Ereader? Why does your computer need to recognize it? I have a Kindle and it is all I need to read a book.

@Lilysmom1, I have a Kobo ereader and have never used my MacBook Air for it. I do use my iPad to go to either the Kobo app or website to get books using my Kobo+ account.
