iPad update 17 available

Did anyone update to version 17 yet? I am waiting to see if there are any problems before I do my iPad.

That was discussed in several tech articles. They put that separate security update out instead of waiting because it was so important.

@Lilysmom1 - hate the changes the made to photos. Deleting them is an extra, unneeded step now.

When I text it keeps underlining words briefly when I type and then the underline disappears. Whatever that is, it is not needed.

Ever since the update, when I am in Facebook through the safari browser, Facebook keeps locking up on me or pages in Facebook won't fully load and I have to keep refreshing.

Last night a group of friends texted me and 2 of the 4 friends showed up as their phone numbers rather than their names (they are in my contact list) so have no idea what happened there. Had to Google and fool around with some settings to get that to work.

Just some irritating things.

@4kitties - I am not a fan. I cleared my history and cookies on safari this morning to see if that would help Facebook and there was no change. Different pages won't load, it freezes, yiu refresh and the pages are totally a blank white, videos won't play. It's a mess.

I did have an update this morning for the Facebook which I don't use, but the theme sounds familiar so hopefully it will get sorted out.

How frustrating! I have a bit of trouble sometimes with Safari now and I do not want to make it any worse. I do not have a Facebook but there are few public pages of businesses I do visit. I do not want to mess that up either.

@gidgetgh Please go to Apple Feedback. Look for feedback heading for the latest update and tell them exactly what you told us. Believe me, they want to know and they will fix it. They fixed a problem I sent a feedback to them about. It was a problem with a keyboard appearing only halfway onscreen and not allowing reviewers to review Apple Podcasts. They fixed it in two days.

I just spent a couple hours watching many videos on this update.

It's massive. One video I watched showed 220 new features. Everything will be affected and everything looks different.

I'm definitely waiting to do this update. First of all, it's too much for me to spend hours right now trying to learn all this. Plenty of the features are hidden too. Secondly, with this much new, there's bound to be some problems, so I turned off automatic updates and I'll be waiting awhile.

To me, the best thing I saw was that The Apple News now has a crossword puzzle.

I wish they would have spent more time fixing all the texting, typing, predictive text errors the devices make and less on all these features.

Apple released an update today to fix bugs and security issues. I just finished installing it. Hopefully this will correct the Facebook/Safari issue I've been having on my iPad.

@gidgetgh , I updated my phone no I am not happy. None of my Bluetooth connections appear to work. I should have waited. I am travelling out of country Wed. I looked for another update to 17 but don't see it🙄.
