@I am still oxox @I have the free person from the Apple IPad. I only play against the computer. You can choose the difficulty level you want. My version has no ads and was the first version. I'm not sure but there might be a second version.

@Mindy D We only have one i Pad I have a Mac book which has no games and an I phone that I can not see, we are looking for a pass and play type of game, thanks anyway

the game Words With Friends is very similar to scrabble and it's free when you download the app.

@I am still oxox @I've been trying to find it in the App Store. It looks like they don't offer the version I have anymore, or at least I haven't seen it yet. There's some new version there. Mine says Scrabble and then there's an about us page that says it's by Electronic Arts (EA) and Hasbro. I'll keep looking though. It might be very far down in the games and I haven't seen it yet,

I wish I could find lots of games I used to play but are no longer compatible. Scrabble is one, Clue is the other. Clue was my favorite game growing up and I still like to find out who killed Mr. Body. Sadly, so many of the computer games I've enjoyed playing weren't updated as operating systems changed.

I find that Scrabble comes and goes from app stores on a fairly regular basis. I have it on a few older devices, but not on the newer ones, but then it'll be available again before disappearing again. I don't know if it's a licensing issue or what but keep checking the app store from time to time and it'll pop up again in a while if it's not there now. They do some weird stuff with it. It's a good app to have, but they play hide-and-seek with it for some reason.
