QVC Selling LABEL Printer.

Looks like QVC wants customers without printers to be able to print their own return labels easily now that they aren't supplying them anymore. It's all about that C in QVC...Convenience, making everything easier for them, but you have to shell out $249.99, $7.50 shipping, and tax.

Oh brother! Why would anyone buy that when they can get a real printer that prints everything, for less than $100?

I have an idea; why doesn't QVC buy a few dozen for their own use?

I said that in jest. HA!

I haven't seen any host selling this online yet, so I have no idea what sales tactic will be used.

However, when I saw this, the first thing that came to mind was not putting labels in the packages any longer and hearing about the difficulties shoppers are having who do not have a printer.

I predicted QVC would offer more printers, so those who do not have any would buy one. QVC would save money on labels and make more on selling printers, but I didn't know a label printer existed.

I don't have that one but I bought a thermal printer for sending things out. The big positive is no ink is needed.

95% of the time i am still receiving invoices/return slips either inside my package or on the outside in a windowed brown envelope..

5% of the time i have to print them out and i do have a printer. would not live without one.

i am not a frequent returner anyways.

The Q is not the only company that want you to print your own labels. I have a small business and I have print labels to return items. Lots of companies do it all the time, just be thankful that you don't have to do it. There are also small businesses who need this to ship their items to their customers. It is easy to say things about the Q but small at home businesses need this. Some of these printers can be costly to people in business, I will let others know that the Q has one.

My wife just returned something she bought from Amazon. Went into our computer room/to the link they sent me via email/printed off a return label/took it to UPS. Cost for all of this? $0.00, used our own ink jet printer(Canon).

@hckynutjohn if you or your wife has a smart phone you do not have to print an Amazon label. You can just show the QR code emailed to you (or on your Amazon account) to the person at the UPS store and they will scan the code and send the package back. No need to print Amazon labels at all.

But why would those businesses buy the QVC "label printer" when they can buy an all purpose printer for their computer for a lot less money???

I don't have a business, so I'm probably missing something here. But my HP "all purpose" printer prints address labels, shipping labels, etc. I just load sheets with the desired size peel off labels where I would normally load regular paper and use the appropriate program for printing labels. Not sure why the labels would have to be in a roll??
