I got the Cyber power,you mentioned, just pluged it in, perhaps a dumb question, but the usb wire that came with it, does not fit my computer, is that the purpose of it?

I have my computer's power cord plugged into the UPS. Not sure what that USB cable is for. I don't use it for anything unless you need it to connect something like a tablet or phone to recharge them.
