No you have not lost faith in it some time these CD players get clog with dust and it may need cleaning and then again the cd's themselves have dust on them that will cause it to eject as well. This happens a lot with any of them. Try finding a dust cleaner at Walmart or office depot, it comes in a can. You can also call the company itself for help as well.

I have a Bose wave radio/cd player that is probably 15-20 years old. I do not use it on a daily basis. Suddenly the CD stopped working. It rejects the discs and says they are "not playable". I used it a few days ago and it was perfectly fine. I unplugged the unit and let it rest but no luck. Disappointed that it stopped. Radio is fine. This same thing happened to the 4-CD exchanger that was only about 10 years old. Maybe I am expecting too much but they are supposed to be superior and not cheap!!! I have lost faith in the BOSE name.

@bargainsgirl

I have spent 10's of thousands of $$$ over the years on Audio and Video Equipment and Peripherals. None of that equipment has had the name Bose on them.

I started into Audio equipment in the early 1950's, before I was old enough to drive. This was years before Stereo Sound, or FM Radio was around.

I paid for many cars over those years, and there is not a single one of them, that I did not upgrade their audio systems after I bought them. None with the name Bose.

To me they were/are way overpriced and come nowhere close to the audio quality I expect from the equipment I buy. Several of my friends had them, and I would bring my own CD Music to play on them.

Since Bose made sure you have to listen to what they consider good audio! There are few, if any, ways to adjust the sound to the listeners preference, not their engineers. I tried what little Bose gives the buyer to adjust, and!!

They sell high $$$ because of their brand name. I know, and have been around Audio Purist, most of my life. How many had Bose in their Audio Systems? Zip/Nada/Zero.

For those that are happy with their Bose, I am happy for them. Everyone does not hear sounds the same. As long as Bose owners are good with their purchase(s), I am glad they enjoy them.

hckynut(john)🥅🏒 🇺🇸

I have one that is 28 years old. CD’s stopped playing. Radio is fine. I called Bose customer service just to see if it was something that could be fixed more so for nostalgia. They told me nothing could be done since it’s so old. I still use it for the radio.
