for about the last month when I open a message the slider on the side to read the bottom of the letter is missing. I have to open it in another window and it has the side slider.

Is this something I have accidently caused or is this new with gmail?

Settings permits you to change the way you view or preview your mail.

@stevieb ........I have been to settings several times but I cant find anything to change or fix it.

My only suggestion is to go to settings where there is the option to revert to the former view or if that isn't the issue, to click on 'view all settings' and see how your inbox and reading panes are configured.

@stevieb @Desertdi .................Boy do I feel stupid. I changed the background to a fall theme and the slide bar was not visible, blended in with the forest scene, but it was there. Geesh!
