How can I fix 2 keys that stick on my laptop?

Very frustrating to hit the "n" only it doesn't show up and I have to go back a lot to reinsert the N....also the O.

HP support says to uninstall the keyboard and then reinstall it. I am afraid to do that since if I uninstall it, I am afraid I won't be able to get it back. Does the keyboard need to be cleaned? Help.

Do you have a laptop with a separate keyboard?

I would rock the laptop / keyboard back and forth - gently, hoping to dislodge whatever is stuck beneath the keys.

Carefully pop off the keys and clean out any debris that might be under them.

Thanks. I removed the key and blew on it and it seems to be working now. I will do the same thing with the o. Didn't know I could remove laptop keys. Yes my laptop is attached to the screen.

Sometimes you can't. It depends on the keyboard design. There are lots of different keyboards out there. You can have mechanical switches, optical switches, linear switches, membrane switches, and likely more that escape my memory at this moment. Dirt and debris are the more common cause of keyboard issues, but failed switches (especially mechanical ones) are not uncommon.

You can buy a keyboard cover for your laptop and that will help keep stuff out.

Canned air helps blow the debris out.
