MacBook Air 2015

I asked about this before...I have a 2015 MacBook AIR running El Capitan. I know it is outdated. Is it worth upgrading for about $100 or should I just invest in a new Air because this one is so very old. It still works fine except for the fact that the browser does not support many websites now. That is my biggest complaint. I use it mostly for email, surfing the web, music and writing a few documents now and then.

I am still using my MacBook Pro 2015. I think it has Monterey OS. I plan to use it til I can't. I expect to get at least ten years out of it. I just bought a new iPad Air. LM

What are you updating?

I have a 2013 MacBook Pro and use Big Sur. I've always done the updates when notified by Apple systems. It still works like new. I have no plans to replace it unless absolutely necessary.

I have a MacBook Pro 2017 version. I'm using Catalina. Just did the security update this morning. Hope to use it for a few more years.

@bargainsgirl My 2012 MBP is still going strong using Snow Leopard OS. The "original" battery is starting to lose power quickly so I keep the MBP plugged in when using indoors. Will need a new battery before the year is out.

No browser issues either. FF is my default browser on my MBP.

What "upgrade" will cost you $100?

We have a company that services ONLY Apple computers. They will clean out and install the updated browser. That is what they charge. I am not tech savvy and so I completely trust their services. Have used them in the past.
