Another question...if one purchases this ipad and decides to return it, how do you "clean" your info off of the machine? Not sure if an Ipad is for me...

@bargainsgirl , you would go into Settings and have it go back to factory settings. You can "Google" how to do it. There's some pretty detailed instructions. You would turn off Find my iPad in your iCloud account. After you set to factory settings, you would go into your iCloud account and delete that device from your account.

@bargainsgirl I use my iPad differently than my computer. It is my toy for this site, games, quick check of email, texting. I do my serious "business," writing, correspondence, and document production and storage on my MacBook.

Have you consider the iPad as a second device that you would keep while continuing to use your computer?

I've used a tablet as my only computing device for about 7 or 8 years. Have not missed having a computer. I started with an iPad2, then have had 2 Samsung tablets. The Samsung's only seem to last about 3 years, then they start going wonky. They use the Android system which I prefer. The Samsungs don't seem to last long, only about 3 years then they start going wonky. At Christmas, I bought the TSV Amazon 10" Fire Tablet, okay for kids but it has many aspects that are highly annoying if you've used a better device.

I'm thinking about a new tablet but definitely wouldn't buy the iPad TSV. I don't want or need any of the accessories. I'd buy from the Apple Store.
