How does everyone like the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9" ? Does it have a good camera front and back to be able to Skype from? I was thinking of getting for my son that lives in Florida.

Any other pluses over the iPad?

I recently received the new 8"" HDX. I think the camera is great. I have not skyped on it yet so I can't answer that. I also have never used an Ipad so I can't address that either.

I am a big fan of the Kindle. I started with the first Fire and last year moved up to the larger screen and this year moved up again because of the camera feature. DH gets the hand me downs and is quite happy too!

I was never much of a reader until I got this. I do not regret purchasing any of them.
