That's all I have used for years but why so cheap??

Have they found mega piles of phones somewhere that they need to get rid of. Review are mixed.

For all you savvy phone people, is this really that good of a deal?

Any deal in particular? I've used Tracfone for many different years and many different phones. Don't use mine much, but I still see it as worth the money I spent.

I have that phone, bought it last year when QVC had it for a special. I really like it. It is not the newest samsung, but it was an upgrade over the phone I had previously. Have had tracfones for years. Find it is usually cheaper to buy a new phone each year than to purchase a year's worth of service.

Mine came with the power bank, which comes in handy if there is a power outage. If I see that severe weather is predicted I make sure that the power bank is fully charged.

Tracfone Reviewer's Blog is a site to look for information about this network.

Verizon purchased this company,and I noticed that they are using more GSM Phones on AT&T and T-Mobile networks. Tracfone selects the network based on your zip code.

LG is leaving the business. I would avoid their products.

I have used Verizon for 18 years. When I need to reduce my bill I will change to Pre-Paid data Plan. AII the carriers have them.

I bought this phone last October. I don't have a problem with it. It is not unusual for HSN to sell Tracfones for around $60. I have purchased several cheap phones over the years.

It is less expensive to buy a new phone than it is to upgrade minutes.

I bought my DH this phone today. He dropped his LG and cracked the screen. Yea, it is worth the money. A burner phone for $60 loaded with 1500 minutes, 1500 texts and internet time is a bargain.

@Mistreatedbycs @I have this phone. I only use it for emergencies or when I'm out in a car. It's ok. Samsung has a newer model they are using for promotions right now. That's why the A 10 is $59 now. In the previous HSN promos, it was $100.

I'm not a big fan of the way Samsung with Google phones are laid out for users. They aren't as intuitive as Apple phones. I prefer Apple products, but you can't beat the cost of the Tracphone. I renewed for my second year with this phone in March. If I didn't have my iPad, I would have gone with an Apple device, but I like the huge savings I get with Tracfone. You can always add to your minutes and you can use on WiFi without using up your minutes.

@Mindy D Thank you but why renew? I never renew, I just find it cheaper buying a new phone and transferring my current text, minutes etc to the new phone. I believe another year is $99 vs spending the $59 today for a new phone with an additonal year of service and plus extra's.
