Purchased this laptop a little over a year ago. It crashed the other day and we had to use the HP RESTORE manager to bring it back to life. In the process it says our Windows 8 product key is no longer valid. Called Microsoft and they can't help without the key. The key is supposedly embedded in the computer somewhere. Anyone else have this problem?

Well I can certainly tell you something on your end is wrong because the key is embedded in the bios on windows 8 and I've never come across a machine restored that had to be reactivated. But nonetheless, a 2 second search of this wonderful new invention called google would have saved you a day of your life... http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-windows_install/where-do-i-find-the-windows-8-product-key-when-it/d4c5c0c1-825d-47f2-9bed-d9625c7e68ff
