Another Tracfone question

I bought a new phone for myself and my H wants to use my old phone. After I transfer my stuff to the new phone, do I factory reset the old phone before he activates it? ( I will check with Tracfone but sometimes you can be on the phone for a long time or sometimes I need to call back to get a different assistant.)

Just a guess here -- but I would think a factory reset would take out all updates. Then when the phone is activated you'd use lots of data to get those updates again.

I would just delete what is not wanted.
