How To Play Music On My Bose Wave Sound Touch

I have a Bose system that plays cds. I do have the app on my various devices. I'm not a techie, but I have a question. How do I listen to music from my iPod, iPad, and Kindles on my Bose? Can it be played wirelessly, do I need some kind of cable I need to plug into the Bose and the device?

Sounds like your system is new enough to have it if you already use an app. If your iPod is old it might not have Bluetooth. Not sure about Kindles.

Check the instructions for the app and the system. Then turn them on.

On the menu of the iPad turn on Bluetooth.

They will find each other.

I am not that good either, so I apologize in advance. Be brave, I don't think you can break anything.

I found this "help" on line:

Let's try clearing the pairing list of the Wave first. Here are the steps to accomplish this:

Make sure the system is on
Press and hold the #6 button on the remote for at least 10 seconds until a tone is heard. This indicates the stored pairing list has been cleared
Release the #6 button
The system will now be in discoverable mode

Once the system is in discoverable mode, we can pair the two. Here's how:

Close or stop any applications that are playing audio on the 3rd party device
"Bose Adapter" should become available in the 3rd party device's available Bluetooth device list
If a passcode is needed, use "0000"
If a successful pairing is made, an audible 'beep' will be emitted from the Wave system and BLUETOOTH appears in the display

@Jordan2 I'm not sure the Bose will play music from these devices. When they recently sold the newest one, they made a big deal out of mentioning it could be attached to the Echo, but that was the only device mentioned. A wire was required.

I have an old Bose CD player from 2004. I use an audio cable to hear sound from a computer.

I found an audio aux 3.5mm male to male cable. I would recommend a 3 or 6ft cable from SHD on Amazon.

This cable looks like it is decent quality.

I have a Bose Sound System 4 and yes, it can pair with my ipad so I can play music stored on my ipad. Follow the previous posters instructions to pair your two systems via bluetooth and it should work.

I have a Bose Soundlink speaker and have it connected to my bedroom TV using a headjack cable. It can also connect via bluetooth. I would suggest you do a search online and find the information about your system. If it has bluetooth, you should be able to connect your other devices.

I also have the same Bose Wave Sound System. When I got mine QVC was providing a separate device because the system doesn't have built-in bluetooth. The device they provided was a bluetooth connector powered by Alexa. I decided I didn't want yet another "listening" device just to play music from phone. So off to BB I went and picked up a non-listening (No artifical assistant) for about $29.00. Plugged into the Aux port on Bose and paired with my phone. Love it! I can listen to my iTunes library, stream music etc. It's great.
