@depglassnot sure if this applies to you, but there was an awful Windows 10 update the last few days that is causing all kinds of problems with people using Windows 10. Causing the Blue Screen of Death, not being able to log onto the internet for help...it's a nightmare. Here a link to an article in Forbes magazine about it. Call Microsoft CS if you can & maybe they can help you uninstall this newest update.https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2020/05/27/microsoft-issues-windows-10-update-warning-kb4556799-free-windows-10-upgrade/amp/

Is it like a pulse - comes at you, blocks what you were looking at, and then pulls back? Might do it a couple - 3 times?

My DELL is old - afraid it mean trouble coming..........

I immediately close down the internet and then go back on fresh - like half a re-boot

Some interruption in the connect - or software....just a guess

I had the black screen of death issue. Geek Squad couldn't even figure it out. What worked for me was: open Chrome go to Settings, then System and disable HARDWARE ACCELERATION, then restart. Once I did that I never had the problem again.

Hope this helps....

Microsoft did it to me again with this update that they apparently did overnight recently., The next morning, I was locked out. Tried a number of things and gave up. I waited a couple of days and decided to try ctrl-alt-del. Voila! Success. I'm not at all a techie, so I have no idea why I even decided to try that! (Mine is a newer HP desktop.)

I am still using old Win7 and know nothing about Win10. That said, if it is still an option, I never allowed Auto Update. Seemed like many of their updates were not very well Beta checked, if at all. Heck, maybe that too is a thing of the past.

To me reading what the purpose was for the update, gave me the choice if I thought it was something I felt was necessary. Adding my old time thoughts.

hckynut 🏒

You can delay updates for 35 days. Look up how to do it on the internet until you solve your problem. Also, you can stop automatic updates, but should have someone do it for you.

Other than that, there are other causes for your problem. Probably should contact tech support.
