( I am not running any ram-greedy programs, but the dv8000 came with allmost enough ram to run a doorbell.) I am getting verticle lines on monitor. I understand that the Pavillion dv8000 have a tendancy to run really hot. They overheat and have wiring/monitor meltdowns. I am considering the HP dv7 but am concerned about overheating issues. Has this been sorted out with the dv7? Is this model also going to have a fan that blazes constantly?
