The battery said I had 3 hours of battery left when I had it unplugged. Plugging it back in, it charged up to 100%. I'm totally confused by this.

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series. Not sure how old it is 4/5 years or so. I unplugged it to use it in a different room and the battery light turned orange. Plugging it back in, it turned back to its normal white charging light, but once it hit 100% it went back to orange. I did a little research on Google, but only saw problems with having a blinking orange light. Mine is a steady orange light.

Any ideas? It's working fine otherwise.
