Downloading picture problems

I hope i can explain this,so it is understood, i am trying to sell some things locally, so with my two cameras, i have a problem, there are pictures on both,but when i try to download ,it keeps saying on my mac book there are no pictures.

I think you need to go to your camera file and not your picture file on your Mac. From the camera file you put your pictures in a picture file so that they can be uploaded to a website.

Are you connecting your camera to your Mac? If so, you should be able to open finder, click on your camera and find the photos.

It would help if you would advise how you are attempting to download from cam to Mac and/or which model MacBook as there are several?

There are several ways........

#1 - If your Mac has a SD slot, remove the SD card from your camera & insert into your Mac.

Click on the disk and/or folder icon that pops up on your desktop.

Drag the pics onto your desktop

#2 - Connect your cam to your Mac using the USB cord that came w/your cam and/or a cord you have lying around.

Follow the instructions in #1

#3 - Insert cam SD card into a card reader. Connect card reader to your Mac through USB or FireWire.

Follow the instructions in #1

#4 - If your cam has webmail or bluetooth options, email the pics to Mac.

It just keeps saying no photos, but there is on both cameras.

@goldensrbest Since you picked #2, please describe in detail/exactly what happens from the time you connect your cam to your Mac through USB.

Also, which folder are clicking on to obtain your photos? The photo folder is called-->DCIM
