it says in the literature that an suv can be jumped up to 90 times on a full charge!....so you have many jumps left on that charge....my son has used his numerous times to jump trucks at the landscaping nursery where he works, plus charges his cell phone at work and iit's still going strong on the initial full charge.

Unable to start my SUV , apparently I had a dead battery . Fortunately , I had purchased a Jump Start Portable Power in the rose gold tone from QVC in February . I charged it back in Feb when it arrived and put it in my SUV. Well, with easy pics on the box and simplistic instructions , I used the Jump start to start my car and it worked perfectly so I was able to go home . The next morning I used it again to jump start my SUV then I went to the auto store to by a new battery . So, I was able to get 2 Jump starts out of the full charge on the Jump Start Portable Power . Glade I bought this to have on hand for an emargency .

I’m so glad it worked for you. I have tried using my Halo bolt to jumpstart 6-cylinder car but didn’t work. Now the light doesn’t even work on it. Being stranded is a horrible feeling.

I'll stick with my HaloBolts. I have three of them. I've jump-started a couple of neighbors, since I got these. And I do love how long they hold a charge. A friend of mine has one and when her power went out recently, she was delighted to be able to plug in her living room lamp. Love my Halo Bolts!!!

We all in my family have AAA as well but sometimes you have to wait awhile for them to get to you so there is an advantage to having your own charger, you can do it and be on your way instead waiting around. Especially in the winter during a really cold spell particularly if combined with getting hit by snow which is when they get a lot of dead battery calls so you can spend some time twiddling your thumbs till that "oh thank God, they're finally here" thing.

I must say though that the last time I had to call AAA they kept calling me to keep me abreast of how long before they got here....car in garage w/dead battery. They called me at least 3 times because the "rescuer" they were sending me got hung up in traffic due to an accident while towing another vehicle to a garage. Perhaps if I'd been an emergency they'd have sent someone else. I told them I wasn't sure if I just needed a jump start to get to the dealer or if it was something else and would need a tow. Turned out just a jump was needed to get to dealer & new battery.

Soooo, the Halo chargers IMO would make great Christmas gifts for kids and grandkids who drive as well.

I've had AAA service in the past . However, most of the time it was either a tire issue or a battery issue . The jump starter I have came from QVC but it wasn't call a Halo , however sounds as though it performs the same functions to jumpstart a car , powerful flashlight with flashers and a power source port for a phone .

I purchased the Stanley Fat Max a few years ago and it has saved the day many times....for not only my car, but many co-workers cars as well. It is big and heavy, but it has a compressor to put air in tires, which I've used several times. I highly recommend everyone have some device in their car to jump start dead batteries at least. Being stranded is scary and waiting for AAA might not be an option.

We have the Stanley too. It’s great.

We also have AAA, but depending on the call volume, the wait for them to show up can be very long.
