I have three old computers with a few pages of photos on each. Is there any way to get those transferred to the computer I use now without tranferring everything in the computer? Do I have to buy some special "stick" that I seem to remember was rather expensive, so I forgot the whole idea?

Probably a better way, but that came to mind. The newer the USB the faster it will work, maybe!

hckynut

On a Mac there are several ways.

Migration Assistance which is already pre-installed on all Macs can do the job as you have the abilitiy to "pick & choose" what you want to transfer.

Do you keep anything in the Google cloud?

If you keep pictures there you can get to them (to view, print, share with others) from any brand, size, or type of device that is capable of using Google.

Sure you could send them to the cloud, then download them onto your newer computer if you wanted to store a copy there too.

Once I knew I had them, I'd delete from the older devices but keep a backup copy in the cloud for peace of mind.

    Easy to do.

Consider if you use a "stick" type storage, the stick can become lost or water/heat damaged.

No so with Google cloud storage.

Think I had too much time on my hands...I uploaded all of my pics to my Gmail account and sent them to myself. I then downloaded to my new PC. I also uploaded all of my videos to Google drive and was able to download the videos without any issues. I had an IPhone but needed to pay for additional cloud space because I had soo many pics!
