topic Dell Laptop at work won't recognize my wireless printer in Electronics

I work at a school and we have a tech that comes in once a week to service the equipment. I found an HP 4620 wireless printer around there and he supposedly set the printer up and ran a test print. Worked great except the black ink was almost out. The control panel showed HP 4620 as my printer. This was on a Friday. I ran to Walmart and spent $23.00 on a dbl cartridge. Monday, I came to work, put the cartridge in and, guess what? I no longer see the printer in the control panel! The tech doesn't seem to have time to get back to low on the totem pole me and help. Is there anything that I can do to fix this? Being in the school system might make this a problem because a lot of things have a pop up message saying "administration only".
