IPad issues posting or signing in and more problems

Purchased new IPad last year. At first thought problems and issues were related to the QVC site. Received messages: Safari cannot open page because connection lost. Last few days error messages on other internet sites like - WiFi not connected but settings showed connected. Checked with DH and he said router and WiFi connected. Checked with cable company and no problems. I have checked under settings and cleared history, signed off and tried Apple sign on. Having trouble posting this shows autosaved while typing. Trying to make this clear. Anyone have similar issues or suggestions. Thanks. Southern Bee

Have you restarted by pressing the on button and home button at the same time. Do this till the Apple page comes up , then in a few minutes you can restart. This usually solves my iPad problems.

@SouthernBee. Yes I’ve been getting messages like that lately. Started not to long ago. I googled and it said to go to settings and turn WiFi off, then turn it on. It does work for me, but I still don’t know why it does it.

I have an iPad, but don’t use Safari; it’s horrible. I use Google Chrome, and much happier with that.

My internet is through Spectrum and was down from Saturday night until this morning. When I used my iPhone as a “hotspot” and looked online, Spectrum had huge areas that were out of service throughout the country. Could that have been the issue?

have had an issue like that,

did a search and there is a fix,

search for ipad dropping wifi or similar terms, and you should find the fix . eventually it resolved

I had this a few years age with an older router/modem. Solved it by getting a new one. Never did know the actual reason, but it worked.

@SouthernBee, In addition to the great suggestions and tips on this thread (I love the way Q posters help each other!❤️), in case you haven't found the solution I'll add what I've done in the past...

Of course, be sure you have the most up-to-date version of iOS available for your device model.

Also, you might try a speed test app on the iPad, compare it with a speed test on your computer, and see how the connections look. And, in addition to the suggestion to turn Wi-Fi off and then back on, sometimes it helps to "forget" the connection (Settings, Wi-Fi, choose your router, then tap "Forget This Network") and then reset network settings (Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings).

Next, choose and set up the connection as you did when it was new, and shut down and restart the iPad. If you're still having problems, I hope you'll return and maybe one of us (or more!) can help.😊

@SouthernBee I believe QVC has some website problems that need to be corrected....I still cannot see complete videos when I look at individual products.....the videos cut out 1/3 of the way. I can see all videos completely when I sign into watch tv live. this problem occurrs for a few months and then corrects itself and then reoccurs. Don't count out QVC in total. If you have an APPLE store near you, try to make an appointment there to discuss your problem.

And I can’t get the photos to enlarge on the product pages. The videos play fine for me, but the still shots won’t work.

And just now when I hit “Reply” to post this, I was taken to the Q Card page instead of the post page!

If QVC intends to stay relevant and in competition for consumers money, they need to improve their website all around!

I wanted to provide more information. Well the issues included every site that I used. Call cable company back and they insisted all connections on their side was good and it was my iPad. Yesterday went to our local service center. My WiFi connection indicated three full bars and everything was operating quick with no issues. Told to call cable company back. The CS rep was more helpful and a speed test done for iPad and DH computer. Determined that for the computer the enternet (sp) cord for the modem needed to be replaced and sending someone out Wednesday. DH said then they will probably suggest for him to use their router, plus DH having memory issues on how to do several things, probably a good idea. Truly appreciate everyone’s help and all suggestions were tried. Everyone always understands and willingness to help. Thanks again, Southern Bee

I have an iPad. I always use Safari on my apple computers. Never had much use for Google internet or anything except on my Samsung Galaxy Note phone.

More changes. Wow tech installed new cord for computer and had better WiFi on IPad for 2 seconds. He then suggested that DH purchase a new router and gave some suggestions. We decided to purchase from Best Buy since they could provide delivery and install the router and provide follow up service if needed. The earliest delivery date the 29. Hope we made the right choice. Southern Bee
