Something that hasn't been suggested but might be the problem is you could be trying to log into the wrong network. In my very, very quiet, largely abandoned neighborhood there are at least three or four Wi-Fi signals with more popping up from time to time in passing vehicles that are emitting Wi-Fi. It's possible that you inadvertently clicked on the wrong Wi-Fi source and that's why you can't log in. You may be trying to log into a neighbor's Wi-Fi instead of your own which would explain why your password wasn't working.

I have had my Firestick since December, with no problems. Today I go to watch something and it says there is no network connection. So I choose my WiFi, and put in my passwsord, it's not connecting. I do this several time, nothing. I call Amazon CS I'm told the stick shows no network connection, she tells me to unplug the stick and reboot my router, that did the trick. I have to wonder why did this happen?

Sometimes that software gets a little screwy over time and needs to be refreshed. When you unplug the router you force it to load a fresh copy of the software from a ROM chip which typically solves the problem. Why does it happen? A stray voltage, static electricity, a rogue cosmic ray, a poltergeist (just kidding) hits the wrong place at the wrong time and a zero becomes a one or a one becomes a zero and the software develops an error.
